Kate stumbled into her first Bikram Yoga class in April, 2009, at Bikram Yoga Bay Ridge in Brooklyn, N.Y. It was a last resort after years of injuries and chronic pain that began with a car accident in 1996. She couldn’t move her head or neck in that first class (and for many more to come), but she fell in love instantly and kept coming back. Kate completed her 200-hour foundation training in Hot Vinyasa with Styles Yoga in January, 2016, and completed her first Barkan Method Level 2 & 3 Advanced Training with Jimmy Barkan in October, 2017. In October, 2022, she completed Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Keli Lalita. Kate’s ongoing search for knowledge has taken her to numerous workshops and immersions for Bikram Yoga and vinyasa. She has also been known to throw around a kettlebell or two. Kate hopes to inspire people to start where they are and keep coming back. No judgments. No regrets. Just breathe.
