A Kundalini yoga practice itself is similar to other yoga practices (asanas, pranayama, meditation) and is a great addition to your current yoga/meditation practice. With the support of bolsters, blocks, and blankets, you will gently position yourself into varying restorative postures that allow muscular tension to release at a deeper level. 

You’ll trust and release in the support of the props and melt into Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses) and Ashunya (the non - empty state of self-awareness), allowing a state of calm, peace, healing, and deep relaxation.

Reiki is an energetic practice that brings the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies back into a state of peace and balance, restoring the energy normally present in oneself. The practitioner acts as a conduit for the energy around us and funnels in fresh energy, bringing your chakras into balance. Monthly Restorative | Friday, January 6 at 7:30 PM 🙏

Join us for a 90-minute Restorative Yoga session that will give you the time and space you need to dive deep into relaxation, rest, and renewal.

Restorative Yoga utilizes many props to support the student (literally and figuratively) and aid you in fully surrendering into each pose with very little to no effort. The poses are held for long enough to allow your body to drop into complete relaxation.

Restorative yoga “restores” the body to its parasympathetic nervous system function, which, in turn, helps the body rest, heal, and restore balance.

This class is pretty much what everyone needs, whether we’d like to admit it or not.

All levels are welcome ✨

Walking into your first yoga class can feel intimidating. 

Is everyone looking at me? 
Am I doing this right? 
Will I fit in? 

You are not alone! Everyone starts as a beginner.

The ‘Jai Total Beginner Series’ has been created for this reason - to help you find the motivation, trust, and confidence that will prepare you to confidently step into your first public yoga class at Jai.

Throughout this four-week series, you will work individually and in a small group setting under the guidance of an experienced Jai yoga teacher.

Expect to break down the basics: from what to do upon entering the studio to the most common poses you will see in Jai classes. You will receive a brief history of the practice and breathing techniques you can take anywhere with you. The main focus will be the postures, safe alignment, and how to use yoga props to work for you. We will teach you some common yoga “lingo” to help enable you to easily follow along in public classes.

The intention of the Jai Total Beginner Series is to give you the courage to walk into a studio class and say, “I’ve got this;” to give you the strength to push through your fears and anxieties and to realize your yogi-rockstar potential. This practice will change your life if you let it. Our goal here is to create a bridge to get you in the studio so you can start that process for yourself.

A flow class that marries the perfect chemistry of an intelligent yoga class: deliberate asana instruction, creative flow, intention and breath.
 
✨  RISE AND SHINE
Early mornings in yoga culture are known as the “sattvic” time of day. This class offers clarity of mind, a fresh perspective, extra grounding and just an overall “feel-good” vibe!
