Ahimsa (the first yama in yogic foundational principles) is often understood as non-harming or non-violence. But it’s not solely about how we treat others—it’s also about how we treat ourselves. In a world that constantly pushes us to go faster, do more and work on the externals, practicing ahimsa means embracing compassion, gentleness and mindfulness toward our own bodies and spirits.

It’s about listening to our healing intuition and choosing to follow it. It means giving ourselves permission to rest and letting go of the need to always be productive. It can also meaning giving yourself the extra push of love and courage in trying something new and beneficial. True self-care aligns with ahimsa because it allows us to nurture ourselves in ways that promote balance and well-being. By carving out time for stillness, reflection and choice, we can truly honor our needs without judgment or guilt.

It’s not the heat itself we’re against—it’s the misconception that hot yoga has to be uncomfortable or intense to be beneficial. Unlike traditional hot yoga rooms that just crank up the thermostat, Jai’s 10 infrared heaters act as a sauna for the body; infrared waves draw deeper into the fascia, promoting muscle/joint recovery and even skin rejuvenation through improved oxygenation and blood flow. Infrared heat is a transformative experience all the way down to your bones.

Open to 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞, at any point in their practice, meaning you do not have to learn with the goal of teaching. This is a space to create community, gain knowledge of yourself and life around you, collect confidence and deepen your practice all in the tender hands of Meg + Dustin.
