These muscles work as stabilizers for the entire body. Core training is simply doing specific exercises to develop and strengthen these stabilizer muscles, and luckily our yoga practice gives us a lot of opportunity to work on this!
If any of the core muscles are weakened through injury, bearing children, or other causes, it could result in lower back pain and/or a protruding waistline. Keeping these core muscles strong can do wonders for your posture and help give you more strength in other exercises like running and walking.
In this class, expect to use yoga and other core-strengthening modalities to strengthen, stabilize, and tone your core.
