Emily found the magic of yoga after needing to heal physically from many years of playing basketball. Her body had taken a beating and she discovered that yoga not only solved physical issues but created a deeper sense of calm in her heart, mind and soul. What started out as a home practice really shifted after going on a yoga retreat to Aruba and finding Jai in 2019. It was the retreat with her teacher Rachel, and in the studio at Jai with her teacher Meg, that she discovered the power of a yoga community (sangha). Emily pursued her 200hr under the direction of Meg Horan and continues to be inspired and in awe of her amazing mentors at Jai! Emily loves incorporating spirituality into her flows and creating a safe space for people to come home to themselves. When she is not taking or teaching classes at Jai, she works as a Registered Nurse in Albany. She lives with her partner, Ryan, in Troy, NY.
